This fine and impressive antique Victorian mourning ring has been crafted in 14 ct yellow gold.
The intricate design is ornamented with a push fit panel to the centre, displaying a woven hair panel.
The woven hair panel is bordered by a plain black enamel decoration within a three dimensional floriated frame.
The shank of this Victorian ring is embellished with black enamel decoration, with the phrase "IN MEMORY OF" visible in gold.
The upper and lower borders of the enamel decoration of the shank are framed by a floriated border, matching that of the feature setting.
The ring has been engraved to the interior with an inscription reading Robt. Curry Obt 18th Oct 1820 Oct 45".
This mourning ring with hair has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 ct gold.
