* The jewellery manufacturers Ernst Murrle and J.B Bennett operated as Siegele & Bennett from 1884 advertising themselves as 'manufacturers and importers of British and Foreign jewellery'; importing pieces from Pforsheim as this was Murrle's origin. In 1896 they administered Murrle Bennet & Co until 1914 when the firm was purchased and continued trade in London under the name White Redgrove & Whyte. Murrle Bennett is widely known for their production of Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts style jewellery; they bear connections with renowned craftsmen such as Liberty & Co, Archibald Knox and Theodore Fahrner.

Date: Circa 1900

This antique 1900's brooch is exceptional quality, set with an impressive hot enamel panel.

The enamel panel is in perfect condition; this piece shows little signs of wear and use, determining the piece has remained securely stored within the presentation box.

The original box has some wear to the exterior in keeping with age.

The brooch is an excellent gauge of gold and is in exceptional condition, with clear hallmarks to the reverse of the setting.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine Murrle Bennet & Co enamel brooch in 15ct gold.
