This exceptional vintage silver tureen has a circular rounded form onto a circular domed spreading foot.
The surface of this piece has a subtle planished finish and is encompassed with a band of embossed fluted decoration.
This vintage silver soup tureen retains the original hallmarked push fit swept cover, encompassed with further embossed decoration to the plateau.
The cover is surmounted with a cast reed decorated ring loop handle, accented with an applied rope twist decoration border to the lower portion.
The vintage tureen is fitted with impressive cast silver loop handles, with a plain handpiece and leaf decorated terminals.
The substantial domed foot is further embellished with embossed fluted decoration.

The piece has been tested as 880 standard silver and is struck with the 800 standard purity mark; a UK assay office will use a fineness hallmark of 925 (sterling) or 800.
