The surface of this impressive antique silver box is embellished with impressive chased interlacing floral and foliate decoration, all on a matte background; this decoration bears inspiration from Indian silverware.

This exceptional box is fitted with a domed hinged cover, which retains the original gilding to the interior.

The cover is ornamented with further interlacing designs reflecting that of the body, incorporating a large shaped vacant cartouche to the centre.

The body of this exceptional box is fitted with the original cedar wood lining.

This sterling silver cigarette box has a weighted base and retains the original red leatherette covering to the underside.

This exceptional cedar lined silver box has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as sterling silver.
