This fine and impressive diamond and gemstone matador brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with 18 ct white gold settings.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a Spanish matador and 'muleta' (cape).
The matador's jacket and 18ct white gold set epaulettes are embellished with five pavé set round cut sapphires and two pavé set eight-cut diamonds.
The matador's 18ct white gold 'Montera' (hat) is ornamented with one round cut ruby and two eight-cut diamonds, all pavé set.
The muleta has a matte surface and is set with six round cut rubies and a further nine 18ct white gold pavé set eight-cut diamonds.
The white gold settings and matador jacket details are bordered with a millegrain decoration.
The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged double pin fastening.
The hallmarks to the reverse of the brooch are not clearly struck, however "18" is visible, and the brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold.
This vintage matador brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
