This antique Victorian sterling silver basket has a rectangular rounded form onto four ball feet.

The sides of this basket are embellished with pierced fluted decoration.

The rim of the basket is ornamented with a fine embossed opposing scroll and leaf decorated border accented with a shell motif to each corner.

This antique silver basket is fitted with a fine hallmarked, chased and pierced decorated swing handle embellished with opposing scroll and leaf decoration accented with three floral motifs.

The well of this Victorian basket is plain and unembellished.

This impressive basket retains its original gilt interior.
