An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver biscuit box in the Arts and Crafts style; an addition to our silver teaware collection

This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver biscuit box has an oval form, in the iconic Arts and Crafts style.


The surface of this vintage silver biscuit box has a subtle planished finish and is encircled with shallow concave fluted designs.


The upper rim of the box features a protruding paralleling incurved rim, reflecting the aforementioned fluted decoration.


The box is fitted with a hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with the original, impressive iconic Arts and Crafts style carved wood and silver finial, accented with cast silver fluted designs to the lower portion.


This impressive piece is supported by a cast silver oval spreading foot, embellished with further subtle concave fluted ornamentation.

This antique Arts and Crafts style silver biscuit box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the box and part hallmarks to the rim of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver, except for the maker's mark which has been mis-struck.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of vintage silverware.
