Sterling Silver Bon Bon / Strawberry Dish - Antique George V (1935)

This fine antique George V sterling silver strawberry/bon bon dish has a circular rounded form.

The circular sunken well is ornamented with flat engraved rosette style ornamentation, incorporating a central quatrefoil leaf design accented with bi-lobed scrolling leaf motifs to the external circumfrence.

The raised rounded border of this silver dish features a broad tapering shaped plateau embellished with a fine and impressive outer band of embossed and chased scrolling leaf and stylised palmette designs.

This antique silver bon bon dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp and the flat engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the dish are very clear.
