Either side of the cover of this impressive dish is embellished with bright cut engraved scroll and leaf designs with integrated panels of trellis decoration.
The decoration to each side of the cover incorporates a large scroll bordered, shaped vacant cartouche.
The revolving cover is secured to the frame with detachable hallmarked sterling silver screw fittings at either end.
The anterior edge of the cover is fitted with a plain rounded handle featuring a bun style thumbpiece.

The cover revolves to reveal the associated hallmarked oval warming tray and original hallmarked drip pan.
The plain warming tray is ornamented with pieced quatrefoil decoration in a star formation accented with a pierced border of arched motifs.
