This exceptional antique 1930's silver chalice, in sterling standard, has a circular bell-shaped form onto a circular rounded knop and hexagonal panelled swept pedestal foot.
The plain surface of this antique silver ecclesiastical chalice has a subtle planished finish.
The circular rounded knop is encompassed with an applied rope twist decorated border.
The base is further encompassed with two applied rope twist decorated borders, in addition to an engraved cross motif.
The circular drinking vessel retains the original gilding; this has diminished in a sympathetic fashion, in keeping with age and use.
