This exceptional antique George V sterling silver jug has an oval baluster shaped form onto a plain domed oval foot, in the George II style.

The surface of the body of this coffee jug is plain and unembellished.

This jug has an impressive domed hinged cover surmounted with a silver urn style finial.

The coffee jug retains the original impressive carved opposing scroll handle featuring a plain thumbpiece and a scrolling sterling silver lower terminal.

The upper portion of the handle features an impressive lobed shaped socket in junction with the body.

The beak style spout of this antique silver coffee jug is embellished with a vase-shaped moulding in the form of a collared design, in addition to a drop shaped form to the nadir.

The underside of this impressive chocolate jug bears the retailer's mark 'Boodle & Dunthorpe, Liverpool'.
