Sterling Silver Corinthian Column Candlesticks - Antique Victorian

These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver candlesticks have Corinthian columns to a square stepped base to a collet style rim.

The Corinthian capital of each candlestick retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit sconce.

Each sconce is ornamented with an applied band of bead decoration to the rim.

The classic Corinthian column of each candlestick is entwined with an embossed vine design; this additional ornamentation to the fluted column is highly desirable.

The columns surmount impressive stepped bases, ornamented with further bands of impressive bead ornamentation above the collet style rims.

Both Victorian candlesticks have weighted bases, as to be expected, and are fitted with green baize to the underside.

These antique silver candlesticks are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

There are a few minor blemishes as to be expected to original candlesticks of this type.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim of each base, in addition to part hallmarks to each sconce are all very clear.
