An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian mustard pot in silver and glass, made by Edward & John Barnard; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection

This exceptional antique Victorian mustard pot in silver and glass has a plain cylindrical form.


The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing scrolling leaf designs.


The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied bead decorated border.


This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged domed cover surmounted with an impressive interlacing tri-lobed thumbpiece.


This antique piece is fitted with an opposing scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.


The mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner.


This impressive example of Victorian silverware was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Edward & John Barnard.


Date: 1856

This antique silver mustard pot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the interior of cover are all very clear; the maker's mark to the interior of the cover have wear in keeping with age.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware.
