This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver tray has an oval form.
The surface of the tray is encircled with exceptional band of bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration, incorporating four circular cartouches to the cardinal points.
The surface is further embellished with bright cut engraved floral bud festoons, suspended from quatrefoil shaped floral motifs and composing a shaped cartouche to the centre.
The central cartouche displays the contemporary engraved initials 'EAS'
The raised rounded border of the tray is encircled with fine and impressive applied reed decoration to the rim.
This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with a fine and impressive pair of cast sterling silver handles ornamented with leaf terminals and further reed decoration to the handpieces.
