This exceptional antique sterling silver salver has a plain oval form.
The surface of this Victorian salver is embellished with a vacant inverted octofoil shaped cartouche to the centre, encompassed with a bright cut engraved floral motif decorated border.
The raised rounded border is encircled with impressive chased swag and bead decoration, in addition to an applied band of bead ornamentation to the rim.
The salver is supported by four impressive sterling silver claw and ball feet.
The underside of the salver bears the retailer's mark 'Thos Reynoldson & Son, Silversmiths, Hull'.
This impressive salver was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Walter & John Barnard.
