An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver three piece tea set/service in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our Sheffield silver teaware collection

This exceptional antique George V sterling silver tea service has been modelled in the Queen Anne style.


The lower portion of of each piece is embellished with embossed batwing decoration.


The upper portion of each piece of this silver tea set is plain and unembellished.


The teapot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with further batwing decoration to the domed portion and is surmounted with the original carved painted wood and sterling silver fluted, cushion shaped finial.


The teapot retains the original angular carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.


The teapot is fitted with a swan necked spout ornamented with further embossed batwing decoration to the lower portion.


The cream jug and sugar bowl have plain angular sterling silver handles ornamented with plain moulded decoration to each handpiece.

This antique Sheffield silver tea set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The interior of each piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the teapot cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
