Swedish Silver Candlesticks - Contemporary Design Style - Vintage 1973

These fine vintage Swedish silver candlesticks have a cylindrical form in the Design style.

Each Swedish candlestick has a waisted column surmounted by a plain cylindrical capital with a plain elevated gallery.

The cylindrical base of each candlestick is encircled with an applied band of undulating decoration.

Both candlesticks have weighted bases and are fitted with green baize to the underside.

City mark: u (Uppsala, Sweden)

Silver quality/purity mark: Three Crowns National mark, S (Swedish, .830, 830/1000)

In addition to the full Swedish hallmarks the bases of these impressive candlesticks are signed by the notable designer Erik Löfman.
