This exceptional, fine and impressive antique, early Victorian brooch has been crafted in 21ct yellow gold.
The scrolling upper portion of the brooch is embellished with strapwork style decoration, incorporating five claw set aquamarines in a quatrefoil formation, in a combination of round, oval and pear faceted cuts.
The three-dimensional scrolling frame is further ornamented with engraved scrolling leaf decoration, incorporating six oval faceted rubies segmenting the aquamarines, totalling 0.20ct.
The aforementioned setting supports a terminal drop via a swagged chain; the graduating formation of the chain is created by two further anchor points to the nadir of the shaped scrolling frame.
The cinquefoil shaped articulating terminal is ornamented with a central circular faceted aquamarine, set to a stellate style setting, completing the design.
This stunning Victorian brooch secures to the reverse of the apex setting with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
This antique aquamarine brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 21 carat gold; this purity of gold indicates the high quality of the piece.
This impressive antique brooch is supplied with an IDGL gemstone grading report card.
