This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a butterfly with wings displayed.
The forewing and hindwing are embellished with eight pavé set round faceted cut emeralds, amidst thirty-two pavé set eight cut diamonds.
The butterfly's thorax is accented with a central collet set round faceted with emerald, surmounting three pavé set diamonds to the abdomen.
The head of the butterfly is further ornamented with two eight cut diamonds, in addition to plain gold antenna, completing the design.
This butterfly brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.
