This exceptional antique glass claret jug has a tapering circular shaped form.

The neck of the glass body is fitted with the original hallmarked sterling silver mount fitted with a hinged cover.

The hallmarked hinged domed cover is encircled with an applied egg decorated border to the rim and surmounted with an impressive cast sterling silver evolute scrolling thumbpiece.

This antique glass and silver jug has a plain sterling silver angular handle.

The body of this exceptional Edwardian claret jug is ornamented with desirable cut glass swag decoration with horizontal stepped ornamentation to the upper portion.

The glass vessel is further ornamented with a star cut motif to the underside.

The mount of this antique glass and silver jug is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The jug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The cut glass body of the jug is in perfect condition.
