These exceptional antique George III Irish sterling silver serving tongs have a plain undulating form.
The surface of the tongs are embellished with a paralleling undulating and wrigglework decorated border.
The bridge of the tongs are further embellished with an oval cartouche displaying the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a unicon's head below a coronet.
The pinching action of the tongs is guided to the medial point with a rectangular brace ornamented with engraved bud festoon designs to either side.
The elongated blades of the tongs have an undulating surface to the interior.
