An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Edwardian English sterling silver, mahogany and satin wood galleried tray; an addition to our Edwardian teaware collection

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver gallery tray has a rectangular form.


The hallmarked galleried border of the tray is embellished with pierced vertical pales with chamfered terminals accented with ovoid motifs to the upper and lower portions.


The impressive gallery incorporates an oval shaped inset handle to either tapering end.


This antique tray is further embellished with an applied bead decorated border to the rim.


The tray is fitted with a fine and impressive mahogany wood base, embellished with an inlaid satin wood border and oval panel to the centre depicting an elongated whelk shell.


This impressive example of Edwardian silverware is supported by four hallmarked sterling silver bun style feet.


Date: 1909

This antique wood and silver tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the anterior surface of the gallery and part hallmarks to each foot are very clear.
