The surface of this silver box is embellished with four panels, each retaining an antique period playing card displayed behind the original bevelled glass panel.
The silver border to each side is plain and unembellished.
This novelty box retains the original hallmarked hinged cover, ornamented with a domed circular portion to the centre.
The cover of this fine silver box opens to reveal the original leatherette fitment, allowing for three packs of full-size multi-suit playing cards to be stored.
The interior of the cover features the original gilding.
